Hegira Programs, Inc., serving southeast Michigan for almost forty years, is a private, non-profit integrated behavioral healthcare corporation. Accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations since 1978 and licensed by the State of Michigan, HPI is one of Michigan’s largest freestanding behavioral healthcare organizations.

Our treatment and prevention centers are conveniently located throughout western Wayne County. Hegira Programs provides mental health, chemical dependency and prevention services for people of all ages. We offer individual, family and group services designed for each particular need. Our professional staff which includes physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, licensed professional counselors and peer support specialists meets the highest of our community's standards. Our staff is dedicated to confidentiality and sound, individualized treatment programs.

From walk-in drug screening to extended observation to our comprehensive day-treatment program, HPI is committed to helping our clients achieve their maximum potential and functionality both personally and socially. We have programs designed for those with short-term adjustment issues as well as for those with severe mental health or substance abuse issues. HPI is affiliated with most major insurance plans and we accept major credit cards. We also offer a fee schedule for those without insurance, based upon ability to pay. HPI is a participating provider in the D-WCCMHA Managed Care Network CareLink. We also are a contracted provider for the Southeast Michigan Community Alliance and Oakland and Washtenaw Counties public substance abuse services. Some clients may be eligible for state or local funding assistance, in accordance with financial and residency requirements.
