RESUME WRITING:
We write resumes – clean, simple, easy to read resumes. We have learned from our experience in the recruiting business that most people do not initially read a resume. They glance at it for 5 to 10 seconds and quickly decide whether or not this particular person is a good fit for the particular job they are trying to fill. And, if he/she can’t rule you in for the job in those few seconds – you will be ruled out. Your resume will be placed in the “thanks but no thanks” pile and, no matter how much of your background is relevant to the requirements of the job, you will not be considered for it, you will not interview for it, and you will not get the job.

That’s why we keep our resumes simple – professional and easy to read – but simple. When someone looks at your Holland & Associates resume they will be able to see very quickly who you are educationally and professionally. And then, if you are qualified for the job, you may at least be considered for it.

COVER LETTERS:
Your cover letter has only one mission – to get someone to spend more time on your resume. It accomplishes this mission by saying (1) “Hello”; (2) “I’m exactly what you’re looking for”; and (3) “I’ll contact you soon”. So you see, our cover letters are also simple – professional and easy to read – but simple.
