Blue Water Tires is your tire headquarters. We are a full service tire store. We carry a wide variety of tire brands and sizes for passenger vehicles, large and small trucks, trailers, farm equipment, commercial fleet, motorcycles and more. We stock over 2,000 motorcycle tires. If we don't have what you need, we'll get it in a timely manor. We ship tires anywhere in the lower 48 States, and deliver by truck to Michigan, Northern Ohio and Northern Indiana. Our services also include steering, suspension, brake, wheel alignment, and mobil tire repair services.
Our staff at Blue Water Tires has a combined tire experience of over 100 years. We are all seasoned motorcycle riders with expertise on many types of bikes. We are qualified to advise our customers in selecting the proper tires geared for a particular style of riding. We will gladly help you select the best tires for your bike, mount and balance the tires for the best ride possible. We only ask that you remove the axle shafts before bringing in your wheels, as we do not remove or install wheels on the bike.
Some Points to Consider:
We highly recommended that the tires on your motorcycle are the same brand and style. Handling problems are more likely to occur when tires are not matched, especially when traveling on different road surfaces, curvy roads, and inclement weather conditions.
Tires should be stored out of direct sunlight and away from any electrical motors, fields or lights for maximum shelf life, and wear life, once installed. All of our tires are stored in our warehouse, away from direct light for long-term preservation.
There are many reasons for tire wear, including road surface and riding style. The most effective way to maximize the life of your motorcycle tires is to keep them properly inflated. It is estimated that up to 50% of all bike tires on the highway are under-inflated for the load they are carrying. Proper inflation keeps the tires running as cool as possible. The cooler the tire stays, the longer the tire will wear.
To insure proper tire wear, the tires on vehicles with 4 wheels or more should be rotated every second oil change (approximately 6000 miles) and the pressure should be checked once a week for maximum performance and mileage.
